Requests are product specifications submitted by persons (requesters) who want to buy a product outside their own country but need assistance in having the product send to them as regular sales channels do not provide delivery services to their country.

Delivery assistance can be provided in two ways:

  • The requester has found a place where the desired product can be bought but the (internet)shop can or will not send the product to the requester.
In this case Kwoodle can help the requester find a person willing to initially receive the product and forward it to the requester.
  • The requester is looking for a product from a country abroad but is not able to find an (internet)shop selling it.
In this case Kwoodle can help find a person willing to assist in buying and sending the desired goods to the requester.

Via Kwoodle, requesters can find two possible delivery services:

  • People who stay in country and mail foreign products (in Kwoodle known as suppliers)
  • People who are on an international trip and bring products while travelling (in Kwoodle known as travellers)

To find suppliers contacts or travellers that can help requesters get the products they are looking for requesters have three menu options:

  1. Find suppliers contacts
  2. Find trips
  3. Create a request (Requests are specifications of the product that requesters are looking for).

Once a requester has found a supplier or traveller that indicated he/she is willing to provide delivery services, the requester can initiate contact through the Kwoodle messaging system and discuss further delivery possibilities.

1. Find suppliers

The “Find Supplier Conatct” option allows requesters to find suppliers that can help without having to create a product request. In this screen requesters specify

  • the country the product needs to bought at
  • the relevant product category

and Kwoodle will present suppliers that can help.

To narrow the search requesters can add product keywords in the search criteria.

For found suppliers requesters can view additional supplier details by clicking the “detail“ link. When requesters want to contact a selected supplier they click the “contact” link and via the Kwoodle messaging system requesters will be able to initiate a message to the selected supplier.

2. Find trips

(Under construction)

3. Creating a request

A saved request can be found by suppliers or travellers and when they think they can help you they will contact you through the Kwoodle messaging system to discuss delivery options

A request can be created at “Create request”. The following information needs to be specified:

Instead of waiting for a supplier contact or traveller to contact you, you can also actively match your saved request against supplier contacts or trips known in Kwoodle.

Matching a request to supplier contacts  or trips

The matching process uses the product country and category of your request to find supplier contacts that deliver for product categories from the country you specified.

When you selected to match to known trips Kwoodle uses your request product country and category together with the country known in your user profile. The request country is matched against trips departure country, your user profile country is matched against trips destination country.

Supplier contacts or trips that match your request specifications are listed and Kwoodle allows you to view additional supplier contact / trips details or to contact them.

To create requests and contact suppliers or travellers you need to have a Kwoodle userid and be signed in. Browsing through supplier contacts or trips via the Find Suppliers contacts / Find Trips option can be done without registration.

All Kwoodle features for requesters are free.
