All communication between requesters, supplier contacts and travellers is done via the Kwoodle messaging system. This messaging system acts as a normal e-mail system. It has a received messages box, a sent messages box and a deleted messages box. The number of received new messages is visible on every Kwoodle window via the New messages counter. Clicking on that link will open the received messages box.
Initiating a message is done via the contact buttons or links visible at the different Find or request, supplier contact or trip details display windows.
Initiating a message will open a message edit where you can write a message to the person you are contacting. A view button allows you to open a window with details of the person you are contacting.
To received and send messages you do not need to have requests, supplier info or trips created on Kwoodle. You do need to have a Kwoodle login and in some cases a positive credit balance.
All messaging functionality for requesters is free of charge. For supplier contacts and travellers initiating a contact or for first replies we deduct one or two credits from their credit balance. See the Credits section on How it works for more details. When supplier contacts or travellers have an insufficient credit balance messages or replies cannot be send.
Sent messages can be withdrawn, a button to withdraw is available when you open the sent message. This option is only available as long as the receiving person hasn’t read the message. Withdrawing a message will remove the message from the receiving persons mailbox and refund the earlier deducted credits by a credit balance increase.
Your login profile page allows you to specify if you receive an e-mail in the e-mail address listed on the profile page every time you have a new message on Kwoodle.
When you receive a new mail from somebody the opened message has a decline button. This allows you in an easy and efficient way to let the sender know you are not interested. Declining a message returns a mail with a standard decline text to the person that started the communication.
Declining through the decline button will for supplier contacts and travellers not be seen as a reply and no credits will be deducted from their credit balance.
Messages will not automatically be deleted by Kwoodle when the related request, supplier contact or trip has been deleted.
